Als die Autorin vor ungefähr einem Jahr angekündigt hat, dass es eine Spin-off-Reihe zu Black Dagger geben soll, die sich wieder mehr auf die Bruderschaft drehen soll, war ich total begeistert. Und das klingt jetzt irgendwie so, als wäre ich von diesem Buch enttäuscht worden, aber das stimmt nicht. Es hat mir wirklich richtig gut gefallen. Definitiv besser als den neuesten Teil der Originalreihe. Es war wieder typisch J.R. Ward, mit deren Schreibstil ich mich langsam, nach 22 deutschen Büchern, auch auf Englisch anfreunde. Es war lustig und hat aber auch ernste Themen behandelt und die Charaktere und ihre Handlungen sind immer so realistisch. Das begeistert mich jedes Mal wieder—auch, wenn es eigentlich um Vampire geht.
Das Buch ist natürlich nichts für diejenigen, die nicht mindestens Teil 1-7 (1-14 auf Deutsch) gelesen haben. Es hat zwar seine eigene Geschichte, aber trotzdem würde ich das nicht unbedingt empfehlen. Ich bin wirklich gespannt, in welche Richtung sich die Reihe entwickelt und gespannt auf den nächsten Teil!
